Tarangire is a beautiful park filled with Baobabs and Acacias with a large variety of game such as zebras, elephants, giraffes, and water buck. You will also visit the Serengeti, Tanzania’s most famous and largest national park and one of the most spectacular parks in the world. The “endless plains” cover some 14,763 square kilometers including large plains, short grass plains, kopjes, and lakes.

TRIP ITINERARY


Day 1: Moshi/Arusha – Lake Manyara.

Pick up from your hotel then transfer to Manyara with lunchbox on the way. Cultural tourism and evening walk around Manyara banana village. Dinner and overnight stay at a campsite.

 

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive At Lake Manyara National Park.

After breakfast enjoy game drive in the park till late in the afternoon. Lunch will be served at the Picnic site inside the park. Dinner and overnight stay at a selected campsite.

 

Day 3: Lake Manyara – Lake Natron

After breakfast, drive to Lake Natron with picnic lunch boxes. It is a hard journey through rough and dusty road but is worth the effort and is made easier by the beautiful and spectacular scenery en route. In particular, hiking the Ngarasero Escarpment with its waterfalls and gorge is breath taking. Natron is remote location with a real sense of isolation and serenity.

The lake itself is exceptionally alkaline, beautiful and the lake is home of more than a million of flamingos, more particularly the pinkish white plumage Lesser Flamingos indeed it provides food and breeding place for these birds which are outright suited to the hard environment of a volcanic lake. The flamingos feed on the Spirulina algae abundant in the waters of Lake Natron. Dinner and overnight at selected campsite.

 

Day 4: Lake Natron

Full day at Lake Natron, visit of canyon and river Engare Sero + Massa tribe village. Dinner and overnight at selected campsite.

 

Day 5: Lake Natron – Serengeti

After an early start, you will travel along exciting dirt tracks with wondrous views as your vehicle climbs out of the Rift Valley to reach the wide-open plains of the Serengeti by midday. Safari starting from North East (kopjes). The Serengeti is the most famous park in Tanzania as it is home to the largest animal migration on the planet. The migrating animals are free to roam where they please and are not confined solely to the park boundaries. However, it has been witnessed that they are straying further afield and to this date, the wildlife watching can only be described of as spectacular. Dinner and overnight at a selected campsite.

 

Day 6: Serengeti – Serengeti

Early morning game drive, viewing wildebeest migration in Serengeti Seronera, back for breakfast and later proceed with predator view game drive. Dinner and overnight at a selected campsite.

 

Day 7: Serengeti – Serengeti

Full day game drive. Overnight at a campsite.

 

Day 8: Serengeti – Lake Eyasi

Visiting Lake Eyasi will take you to the land of the Hadzabe people, a dry and hot area where these hunters and gatherers are believed to have lived for over 10,000 years. Early morning you will go to hunt with Hadzabe people. Lake Eyasi itself varies in size according to the rain, and will be a little parched bed in the dry season. A perfect location for a break from your wildlife adventures which the surrounding parks give you a lot of. The culture and historical impressions from here will be a valuable extra for your memories. Dinner and overnight at a selected campsite.

 

Day 9: Lake Eyasi  Ngorongoro Crater

After Breakfast picnic lunch with you descend down the crater for half day crater tour till late afternoon after lunch you will start ascending the crater rim on your way to Karatu town. Dinner and overnight at a selected campsite

 

Day 10: Karatu – Tarangire Park- Moshi/Arusha

After breakfast, we will make our way to Tarangire National Park for an adventure packed day of game driving. This park is dominated by the perennial Tarangire River and is characteristically known for its giant baobab tress that stretch and wind their branches into the blue sky. The most spectacular feature of Tarangire is its large elephant population. In fact, it has the largest population of any park in northern Tanzania. These gentle giants abound in excess of 3,000. Tarangire is currently experiencing and elephant baby boom and you will notice a lot of juniors and babies as members of the herd. Also expect to see zebra, eland, mongoose, giraffe, bush buck, hartebeest, dik dik, impala, warthog, and reed buck. Primates you may encounter are olive baboon, velvet monkey and bush baby. Many carnivores are abundant throughout the park such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena and jackal. Today is your last day safari adventure, after game drive you will start your return to Moshi or Arusha.
